Amazing the things God reveals with ones pets. I miss having a dog but at this stage or our life its not a practical. Love the picture and the comments. Blessings
Thank you Betty! There is wisdom in the practical. When the last of our childhood animals passed away, my parents wisely decided not to replace them. Whenever my older brother and I come to town for a visit, we always bring our dogs. They get the joy of a few days of intense Labrador love without the responsibility of ensuring they get exercised, having to clean up after them, or bearing the burden of who would care for a pet if they got sick. For my parents and our dogs, who get spoiled rotten by my Dad, it is a win- win situation.
Given their history together, I think Reeses is saying, “Isn’t it beautiful out there?” (I’m picturing a peaceful snow scene out the window!) “I’m so glad you came over to enjoy it with me, Adi!”
Love is patient and kind but sometimes it gets tested.
Do I glimpse mild irritation as if the cat was thinking, “No further big fella, you’re invading my space!” 😃
It does indeed get tested. For these two the testing come when Adi decides Reeses needs a full body lick. The next picture on the reel is Reeses leaning down to sniff Adi’s muzzle. Now if this was our younger dog in the picture, the image would be of a cat giving a paw pop to a Lab nose and high tailing it to the next room delighted that she had a dog in hot pursuit.
Thank you Nancy! These two are sweet to watch together. Adi was our cat’s first “friend” when she entered our home as a young feral rescue. I think they share a special connection.

Oh, Beth, thank you for the laugh. I can picture that scene even without a photo–beloved pet play.
