“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads life, and only a few find it.”
Matthew 7:13-14
My study of Jesus’ “Sermon on the Mount” continues and from it has come another scripture photo. With it, I include a link to a devotional on the same passage titled “Big Gate but No Fence” written by my blogging friend David at David’s Daily Dose. Each Saturday, I look forward to reading David’s latest modern day parable drawn from his journey through life with Jesus by his side. Enjoy!

Adi making sure you got his best side, what a lovely picture Beth. May we always follow His Narrow Way, where there is no room to turn around and no one can pass you!

Thank you Alan! I love that thought- “Where there is no room to turn around and no one can pass you” it adds another layer of richness to this post.

How did you get Adi to sit so still in front of that gate? What a perfect photo for today’s verse.

Thank you Pastor Pete! Adi’s calm demeanor lends itself to photo ops but I’ll also let you in on a secret. She’ gladly poses for a picture if she knows the photographer has a treat in her hand.
