Jesus stood and cried out, ” . . .Whoever believes in Me, as scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow streams of living water.”
John 7:38, ESV
Today’s scripture photo carries on the theme from this month’s Lesson from a Lab- Hunger & Thirst-Food and Water.
Over the Easter holiday, Adi and I had the joy of joining my Dad for an afternoon of hiking. We went in search of wildflowers. Instead we found, to our delight, a vibrant stream where the water bubbled and gurgled over numerous waterfalls. The scripture photo captures one waterfall while the picture of Adi captures another. As you may guess, my Labrador couldn’t resist the water and splashed to her doggie heart’s delight.

Somehow, I must have missed this post! It surely was refreshment for today! Sometimes, we come upon things exactly when we are supposed to. 🙂

That waterfall is the picture of refreshment, ever-flowing with exuberancy! Praise God for his refreshing streams of living water, provided by the life of Christ within, ever-flowing with exuberancy through us! Hallelujah!

Thank you Pastor Pete! Adi is a born hiker. She is always happiest when on the trail and has the endurance to hike the day away with me.

Beth, you and the Lord have my attention… Earlier this month I wrote a ‘part two’ devotion for the NGO that my husband and I are involved with. The title of the devotions (part one and two)? “Drawn to the Water”! 😊❤️

Thank you Tierney! Adi is happiest when she is out hiking. This time round, I chose to leave Summer at home so Adi could enjoy our full attention on the hike.

Beth, the setting looks so serene. I imagine when the “living waters” are flowing from our heart others will see a life of serenity. God bless you.

Manette, I like your thinking. The word “serene” describes the stream and living water perfectly.

Thank you for this precious post Beth😊
That river looks super cold and refreshing indeed. I quoted this verse recently with the story of the woman at the well.
God bless you and your family today sister 🙏

I’m so glad you enjoyed it Alan, especially in light of your story of the woman at the well. Yes, the creeks and streams are still running cold with the spring rain.
