Great are the works of the Lord; they are pondered by all who delight in them.
Psalm 111:4
May you take time today to stop and marvel at the beauty of the Lord’s creation.
For those, like myself, whose greatest pleasure is to be in the great outdoors, I encourage you to visit the blog of a true outdoorsman Gary Fultz and enjoy the pictures he has captured of the winter wonderland he calls home in his post Winter Wander Wonder. Scroll through his website to see more of his incredible nature photographs.

I love Gary’s blog, too. I can’t say that my greatest pleasure is to be in the great outdoors, but I love looking at great photos! Blessings, Beth!

There truly is beauty in every season. We just need to stop long enough to notice. I love the winter scene you posted with your sweet labs.

Thank you, Nancy. You are absolutely right- every season has its points of beauty.

Wonderful post! Every season offers us so much beauty. God’s handiwork is there when we are focused on the wonder set before us. The photo here is awesome!!! 🙂

Thank you Linda! You are absolutely right about each season holding its own element of beauty. I couldn’t imagine living where there are not 4 distinct seasons.

I love the four seasons also…I look forward to each one! 🙂 It is milder in Virginia than many other states, but we do have our seasons! (Right now, nature is a little mixed-up. We had snow flurries the other day, but I have a daffodil that has come up by my back porch!)

Oh that would be surprising to find a daffodil in January.

Again, you have given us a beautiful photo/ verse combo Beth. Isn’t it amazing how your puppy-dogs are both so fixated on the same sight. There’s a message in this living portrait, but I can’t quite see though all the layers that God has painted there.

I love the word picture Pastor Pete-“living portrait” and “all the layers that God has painted”

Thanks Beth.
That’s a great picture of the Labs eyeing the mallards. I think I would be in a canoe on a nice day like that. All our water is frozen here.

Thank you Gary! A canoe ride on this particular river would weave you through some picturesque Amish farms. My brother’s dog Nova is a phenomenal water fowl retriever so she spied that pair first and knew exactly what she was looking at. I think she was disappointed when she didn’t hear a shot or the command to retrieve.

I told my wife about the scene…she said “they were waiting for a shot”.
That would be a very fun scenic paddle.

The dogs always look so curious and fixated at the same time! I think this is only the second picture I’ve seen of Nova. Is doggie Summer ok? Maybe she just doesn’t like the winter ❄️😊
I hadn’t seen Gary’s post yet, I’m a bit behind on my reading. Thank you for sharing the link.
Another “Paws & Reflect” with our Labrador friend Buck is in the works. 🐾🐾

An excellent description David! In my last lesson “Remember” you’ll get to see a picture of puppy Nova. As the black Labs get older it is becoming increasingly difficult for us to tell them apart. Usually we rely on the color of their collar but still mess up. LOL Nova talks more than Adi which always gives her away. Summer arrived the summer after this picture was taken. Summer does love the snow and the cold doesn’t seem to bother her much. As a matter of fact we got a dusting of snow during the night and she was racing around our yard at dawn this morning doing puppy zoomies while shoveling it with her mouth. Eager to read the next installment from Buck.
